Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day to day financial operations of the Company and for implementing all financial policies and strategies.
- Ensure the appropriate finance systems are maintained and that all procedures/controls are implemented.
- Prepare monthly accounts and quarterly financial statements in accordance with acceptable accounting standards for Management and the Board.
- Implementation and monitoring of internal controls over financial reporting.
- Prepare variance Reports on Budget for Management and the Board of Directors.
- To recommend and update accounting policies and procedures and ensure implementation of the same.
- Ensure that all accounting records are in compliance with the local laws, regulation, accounting standards as applicable in Pakistan and policies as approved by the Board of Directors.
- Undertake appropriate financial reconciliations.
- Monitor cash flows and ensure that adequate funds are maintained in PMRC.
- Maintain an inventory asset register.
- Liaise closely with the External Auditors on the preparation of the half-yearly and annual financial statements.
- Liaise with the Tax Consultants on all tax issues relating to the Company.
- Manage and coordinate the budget process.
- Assist in the preparation and implementation of PMRC’s strategic business plan.
- Monitor and control expenditure within approved budget.
- Ensure accuracy of employee salaries and other benefits, tax benefits etc.
Required experience, qualification and skills
- Degree in Accounting and Professional Qualification preferable.
- 10 years’ relevant experience.
- Familiarity with IAS/IFRS Standards.
- Strong knowledge in accounting principles and practices and the financial markets.
- Understanding of capital markets.
